The end--beginning

I have to say I did enjoy myself in that I did learn more about the web and what is out there for the knowing. Any computer training is helpful since I didn't grow up with computers and I'll always be playing catch-up. My favorites are MOLDI and Librarything. Both are great for readers which would be me. If any more exercises like this happen again at CML I would plan to participate.

MOLDI

I do like to listen to books on disc and tape. Usually I look for a specific author or title but with this site I can browse the collection and find a new author or subject that interests me. I did find many new titles to choose from. I think this means I'm letting myself out of the "box".

Podcasts

My favorite site was much ado about books. You could listen to author interviews, find about new books, check on having something published, so many things. A neat site. This would be a great way to find new authors.

You too can YouTube

This was interesting and fun to browse. There is a lot of junk but you have to sift through it. I liked the banned books video. It's a shame this is still going on.

Exploring CML's tool box of 2.0 tools

I liked the library toolbar that you can use at home. Stumbleupon was neat. If you have the time you could discover even a bigger world out there. My favorite, though is Librarything. What a great site to discover new authors!

Discovering Web 2.0 tools

I really liked the award winners. The myheritage site could help a person start their family search but they would want to be careful and check correctness of the info. If it gets a person jump started it could be great. I also liked biblio.com. There are so many books the library no longer carries and this would be a great place to try and find them.

wiki sandbox

I liked being able to add my thoughts to a group project. I did need help in finishing but I'm learning!
